Questions
Which languages can I learn?
English, Arabic and French — with lessons and hints explained in your own language, so you're never guessing what the correction meant.
Do I need to talk out loud?
Yes — that's the whole point. Speaking is the skill that doesn't transfer from reading, so every lesson asks you to say something. Headphones help if you're self-conscious.
What happens to my voice recordings?
They're sent to named AI providers to transcribe and score your speech, then deleted after processing. You can delete your recordings or your entire account from the app at any time. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of providers.
How is this different from Duolingo?
Those apps teach you to recognise a language. Lisan makes you produce it. No streaks, no gems — just conversations you'd actually have, scored on how you sounded.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, from your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the subscription — cancel first, then delete.
